Just what the NFL needs, another black eye. But they’re about to get one and it just so happens go come from one of their golden boy quarterbacks.

More from Chicago Bears

A week after San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was fined $11,000 dollars for allegedly using inappropriate language, the Chicago Bears defensive end who was on the receiving end of such words confirmed they were indeed true.

Kaepernick was fined during San Francisco’s Sunday night matchup with the Chicago Bears though Houston originally suggested he didn’t hear anything. It was a sentiment that Colin Kapernick shared as he stated he didn’t say anything vile to the Chicago Bears defender and vowed to appeal the fine.

However, it seems as if LaMarr Houston has had a change of heart and told the Chicago Tribune that Colin Kaepernick did indeed direct a racist comment his way.

"Now that Glazer’s report has been out there –- though denied by Kaepernick -– Houston confirmed that is what happened.“He was just saying inappropriate language,” Houston told the Tribune on Monday night at MetLife Stadium. He said Kaepernick cursed at him, including using the N-word."

LaMarr Houston went on to suggest he wasn’t necessarily offended by the comment and suggested it was ‘more of a cultural thing’. As to what sparked the incident, Houston says he simply muttered ‘nice pass’ to Colin Kaepernick after he was intercepted by Kyle Fuller.
