In Brady Hoke’s first season as head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, he led the Wolverines to an 11-2 season and a win over the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Sugar Bowl.

Since then, it has been all downhill.

In 2012, they finished 8-5 and last season they were just 7-6. They have started this year 2-2. Their wins came against Appalachian State and Miami (Ohio) while they weren’t competitive in losses to Notre Dame (31-0) and Utah (26-10).

Former players are upset about the direction of the program including quarterback Michael Taylor.

“I’m not one for all the talk in the media, actions speak louder than words, and what we’ve become is a propaganda football team, telling people how great we are when we’re mediocre,” Taylor told Detroit’s 105.1-FM (Ryan and Rico Show) via Nick Baumgardne of MLive.com. “In your last 12 games, when you’ve only got victories over Northwestern, Appy State, Indiana and Miami (Ohio) — that is not good.”

“That is not good in any way, shape or form. We’re mediocre right now. Will it stay that way, I don’t know. I don’t work there, I don’t have the say so. But I do know this, I know a few hundred players that are probably not very happy with what’s going on and definitely believe that changes need to be made.”

Taylor is telling the truth – the program is in a bad way right now and unless they really turn things around, Hoke may not make it through the season.
