Kevin Henry commits to Oklahoma State: Cowboys flip LSU Tigers’ pledge

After picking up an offer from the LSU Tigers in January, 4-Star safety Kevin Henry gave his pledge to the LSU Tigers.

After attending LSU junior day two week later, it looked like Henry was a firm commitment. However, Henry pointed out that although he liked the Tigers but was keeping all of his options open.

On Tuesday, Henry showed that he was serious – he decommitted from LSU and committed to the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

The 6’1, 200-pounder is a local LSU product, attending Central High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Henry is ranked as the country’s 19th-best safety prospect, the 15th-best overall prospect in the state of Louisiana and the 320th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Henry also holds an offer from the Miami Hurricanes, among others.

He is the 13th verbal commitment for Oklahoma State in their 2015 recruiting class, which is headlined by 4-Star running back Ronald Jones III. Their class is now ranked fourth in the Big 12 and 34th nationally.
