The career of Michael Beasley has taken him all over the NBA and to a few different cultures but he’s found a new home where he’ll try to redeem what’s left of his career.

More from Memphis Grizzlies

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Memphis Grizzlies have won the Michael Beasley lottery, one that was surprisingly active in the past few weeks.

"Free-agent forward Michael Beasley has agreed to join the Memphis Grizzlies in training camp on a non-guaranteed contract, league sources told Yahoo Sports.Beasley spent several days working out for the Grizzlies this week and chose that offer because of an opportunity to make the roster as a backup power forward."

Most recently the Los Angeles Lakers were looking to sign Beasley and even went as far as working him out but nothing came of it. Beasley is still being paid by the Phoenix Suns, who bought him out a few years ago so he’s not hurting for cash with the addition of this new deal.

What he’s hurting for is respect, and that’s something he’s going to try and earn on a Grizzlies team that may surprise people this season.
