The Detroit Tigers have World Series aspirations, and with Miguel Cabrera on their side, never count them out of a game. Cabrera is one of the best right handed hitters in baseball history and he is not done just yet. Cabrera won the triple crown and MVP in 2012 and he won the MVP trophy once again last season.

More from Detroit Tigers

The Tigers came into Tuesday only a game ahead of the Kansas City Royals in the AL Central and a loss against the White Sox would’ve put the two teams in a tie. With two men on and nobody out in the 9th inning,

Miguel Cabrera made sure that there would be no tie in the AL Central today. Cabrera drove in the winning run with a game-winning single to keep the Tigers on top of the AL Central.

Cabrera is putting up good numbers once again this season, batting .314 on the year with 23 home runs and 105 RBI. The statistics are nice to look at, but Cabrera knows how it feels to win a World Series and that is the ultimate goal for him and the Tigers. The Magic number is now five for Detroit and this divisional race between the Tigers and the Royals will most likely come down to the end of the season.
