In the second half of the contest, following an interception thrown by Nick Foles, Redskins defensive lineman Chris Baker absolutely blew Foles up in pursuit, causing a huge sideline scuffle.
If you happened to miss the play, watch in the video below and try not to cringe too much.
Although the NFL has since admitted that the hit was indeed legal, Baker was flagged for it anyway. Still, despite that, most people saw it as unnecessary for Baker to target a quarterback in that manner, a quarterback who really wasn’t even running at full speed.
Apparently, Baker doesn’t think he did anything wrong either. On Wednesday Baker posted a photo to his Instagram account in which he didn’t seem at all remorseful for nearly ending Foles’ season with the hit. Actually, he almost seemed to gloat about it.
That might not go over too well with the people that are still angry with him over the act, and it will definitely be interesting to watch these two take the field against one another for a second time later this season.
