Apparently Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen’s beard has departed the Miami Heat as a free agent as Andersen was recently spotted at practice looking noticeably different.

More from Miami Heat

While Birdman, who is being called ‘2 Checks’ instead of ‘2 Chainz’ by Miami Heat teammates hasn’t completely abandoned the idea of facial hair, his epic beard is no longer as he decided to shave it off. Andersen didn’t mention why he decided to rid himself of the beard though did decide to keep a goatee so the change wasn’t too drastic.

Birdman, who has always marched to the beat of his own drum may have grown tired of the beard maintenance though he’s likely to deal with similar issues if he’s to keep the goatee.

As you can see, Chris Andersen decided to keep his haircut the same so it was just a facial change that the Miami Heat center was desiring.

Perhaps it was simply Birdman giving a suggestion that it’s time to move on from the past and the team (and some fans) need to move on from LeBron James. More likely, Andersen was probably just tired of the beard and wanted a change. We can’t blame him though hopefully we see it again in the relatively near future.
