While hilarious, the injury was severe enough that Fauria was forced to miss Detroit’s Week 4 contest against the New York Jets. Ultimately Fauria’s mishap didn’t hurt the Lions, as the team came away with the 24-17 victory.
Fauria caught three passes for 49 yards during the first three games of the season. Fauria went undrafted in 2013, but Detroit quickly signed him and the tight end caught 18 passes for 207 yards and seven touchdowns during his rookie season.
The Lions will take on the Buffalo Bill in next Sunday at home.
