Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke continues to sink deeper and deeper. Coaching for the winningest program in the history of college football, you have a certain standard to meet as a head coach and Hoke has only gotten worse since his first season in 2011, when the team went 11-2 and won the Sugar Bowl on a roster built by former head coach Rich Rodriguez.

More from Baltimore Ravens

The Wolverines have won 15 games in two-plus seasons since. They’ve lost six consecutive games against Power Five opponents (and nine of their last 11). In 2014, Michigan is 2-3. It’s the first time that Michigan has three losses in a season before the end of September in it’s entire 135-year history. Michigan has lost to Notre Dame (35-0), Utah (26-10) and Minnesota (30-14). They lost to Minnesota for the first time since 2005, and by 20 points for the first time since 1953.

Hoke finds himself burning even hotter on the hot seat due to question whether backup quarterback Shane Morris was playing with a concussion in Saturday’s loss to the Gophers. He had already suffered a high ankle sprain in the game and after he took a big hit in the fourth, he came up stumbling. But, Hoke denies it was due to any concussion symptoms. While he denies the allegations, it only puts more bad press on himself.

While the world expects Hoke to be gone after the season, if not before, speculation has begun into who will be the next head coach of one of the best college football programs ever. A program that has not had a national championship since 1997 and has only been in two BCS bowls (that don’t exist anymore) in the past 10 years.

Here’s five football coaches that Michigan will be looking at.
