Minecraft headed to PlayStation Vita
Remember how Microsoft recently purchased Minecraft for a truckload full of cash? Well, although some Sony fans may have initially feared that the Xbox company was going to pull their beloved title, it looks like that couldn’t be further from the truth. Minecraft is not only alive on PlayStation consoles, but it is coming to the Vita as well.

4J Studios, the developer for the console version of the title, has given the game over to Sony for final approvals on the PlayStation Vita.
Also of note, Minecraft has received an ESRB rating, so while the title has not yet seen an announced release date, it looks like soon should suffice for now.
Anyone who has previously purchased Minecraft on the PlayStation 3 will be able to download and play the title for free on the PlayStation Vita. Minecraft is also a confirmed title to work with the soon to launch, PlayStation TV.
Although I don’t live under a rock, I’ll be honest, I have yet to play Minecraft. It just don’t look or feel like my cup of tea. That being said, it is one of the most popular arcade titles to launch on any console. The game has seen astounding success, and the expansion onto new handheld platforms is only going to propel it forward.
Good on your Microsoft, for making this happen. Let us know if you’re excited for the new PlayStation Vita version of Minecraft.
