The Jazz locked up big man Derrick Favors last year. This offseason, they matched the giant offer sheet the Charlotte Hornets signed swingman Gordon Hayward too, retaining him as well.

Guards Trey Burke and Dante Exum will be playing under the rookie contracts for some time, leaving center Enes Kanter and guard Alec Burks as two players who could be up for an extension. The Jazz have until October 31 to get a deal done or Kanter and Burks will become restricted free agents in 2015.

According to Aaron Falk of The Salt Lake Tribune, who spoke to Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey, the Jazz have opened extension talks with both Burks and Kanter.
