If the Boston Celtics do decide to trade Rajon Rondo at some point this season, there will be plenty of teams lining up to trade for the former All-Star point guard.

Of course, given that Rondo is a free agent at season end with injury woes and has routinely been rumored to be a locker room problem, the asking price for the former Kentucky star will be all over the map. Still, that won’t stop teams from making an offer. Where exactly is the best destination for the Boston Celtics point guard though? Might it be the Dallas Mavericks? That’s the thinking of Nate Duncan who suggests Big D could be Rajon Rondo’s best destination.

"Dallas is probably one of the better possibilities, especially since they need to upgrade on D and they have enough shooting with Nowitzki that Rondo’s inability to shoot wouldn’t kill the offense."

In addition the Dallas Mavericks do have some talent to trade though they’re not exactly stocked to the brim with young stars nor are their draft picks overly valuable considering they’re likely to be an elite team in the Western Conference.

So while the Dallas Mavericks may be a great fit for Rajon Rondo, you have to wonder if they’d have enough to make the Boston Celtics pull the trigger.
