Not only did Tebow take home a Heisman Trophy and helpd the Florida Gators win two National Championships but he is one of the greatest high school football players in the history of the state. Tebow, who played for Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida (just outside of Jacksonville), has several records including the mark for most touchdowns passes in a career with 95.
On Friday, he lost that record to DeAndre Johnson, a quarterback from Jacksonville, Florida who attends First Coast High School. Johnson threw seven touchdown passes in First Coast’s 54-17 victory over Atlantic Coast on Friday evening, giving him 100 in his career.
Bleacher Report has the video.
Johnson has been committed to Jimbo Fisher’s Florida State Seminoles since July of 2012 and is considered by many to be the Seminoles’ most firm commitment despite the Seminoles also having pledges from a pair of 4-Star quarterbacks in Deondre Francois and Kai Locksley (Locksley is expected to eventually play a different position).
