Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade says it’s his goal to play in every game this season. It’s a nice sentiment, of course, though Wade making it through an 82-game schedule healthy seems unlikely.

Because of that there’s a strong chance we’ll be seeing a significant amount of floor time from Dwyane Wade’s backup this season, though who exactly is that? According to Chris Bosh it’s former Los Angeles Lakers guard and one-time boyfriend of pop singer Monica, Shannon Brown.

Bosh, who was shocked the Miami Heat were able to sign Shannon Brown, expects him to backup D-Wade.

While Shannon Brown wasn’t a terrible player with the Los Angeles Lakers by any stretch, he wasn’t much more than a solid role player on his best day. That has to be a bit concerning for the Miami Heat considering there’s a very strong chance they’ll be seeing a lot of Shannon Brown this season.

Perhaps the team could attempt to upgrade their shooting guard position if Dwyane Wade begins to show signs of slowing down again though it’s going to be difficult to make the postseason with a rotation of Chris Bosh, Luol Deng and Shannon Brown as your three-headed monster.
