We are still four months away from Super Bowl XLIX but already NBC is getting ready with the post-game festivities. The network is lining up which programming to air immediately after the Super Bowl — which is a prime slot to be in — and so far the choices have been great.

According to Deadline, Fallon will be taking The Tonight Show to Phoenix for a live post-Super Bowl episode.

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will head to Phoenix for a special live telecast that night after NBC stations’ late local news. Fallon’s taking his show to Phoenix’s Orpheum Theater that night, following NBC’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLIX. Fallon will continue his road trip and tape from Los Angeles, at Universal Studios Hollywood, February 2-5, marking the late-night franchise’s first visit to Los Angeles since moving back east to 30 Rockefeller Plaza’s studio 6B in New York when Fallon took over following Jay Leno’s exit."

It’s not the first time that Fallon is hosting a post-Super Bowl show on NBC but it’s the first time he’s doing so with his new show. The Tonight Show has been one of NBC’s best shows and that has everything to do with Fallon taking over as host.

The Blacklist will be airing a special show after the Super Bowl this year, but adding Fallon and The Tonight Show to the lineup is a brilliant move.
