This past Saturday the Ohio State Buckeyes moved their record to 3-1 on the season with a very convincing 50-28 win over a good Cincinnati Bearcats team. After a shaky start, this team is improving by the week, especially redshirt freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett, who had to step in on short notice for the injured Braxton Miller.

Two weeks after tying the school record for touchdown passes in a game with six, Barrett was solid once again, throwing for 330 yards on 26-of-36 passing with four touchdowns and no interceptions. He would also add in 79 yards on the ground on 14 carries.

With the improved play recently, there have been some wondering whether or not the injury-prone Miller could lose his job, a job that he said shortly after getting injured in late August that he intends to resume in 2015.

Well, in his conference on Monday, Urban Meyer shot that talk down, reiterating to everyone that Miller is the quarterback of this team, as long as he’s healthy.

“Braxton is our quarterback,” Meyer said. “To be fair to Braxton, Big Ten Player of the Year. (But it’s) good to know we’ve got both of them.”

Still, with the play of Barrett recently, the Buckeyes and their fans have to feel really good about their chances in the Big Ten once again.

And should they find a way to get both involved next season, then a lot of Ohio State haters could be very unhappy.
