As if bringing in rookie Doug McDermott wasn’t impressive enough, the Chicago Bulls also brought in fellow rookie Nikola Mirotic this offseason making an already deep roster even deeper.

More from Chicago Bulls

Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau has been hesitant to promote either Doug McDermott or Nikola Mirotic as being candidates for extended floor time though it seems as if Mirotic already has the endorsement of teammate Joakim Noah.

The All-Pro center was able to go up against Mirotic for the first time on Wednesday and came away rather impressed calling the rookie a hell of a player.

While there is obvious excitement about the Andrew Wiggins’ and Jabari Parker’s of the world, it seems as if Nikola Mirotic and Doug McDermott have throw their hat in the ring as well as both continue to impress all who watch them play.

Earlier on Wednesday, Thibodeau seemed to mildly reverse course on his suggest that neither Mirotic nor McDermott would see much floor time, instead suggesting both will need to earn their spot in the rotation.

Nikola Mirotic will have a difficult time seeing more than a few minutes per game for the Chicago Bulls however thanks to depth that includes the aforementioned Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson.
