The Houston Rockets had major plans this offseason but wound up losing several valuable players while only signing one real impact player in swingman Trevor Ariza. The Rockets have since made plenty of signings and now need to figure out who is going to be on their roster as they try to cut down the roster before the season begins.

Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors could see the Rockets making a trade to get to 15 players.

"Don’t rule out a trade here; Daryl Morey likes to deal. If they don’t alleviate the logjam that way, I don’t think it’ll be either Ish Smith or Canaan, since that would leave them thin at point guard. I think Joey Dorsey might be the one to go among the fully guaranteed guys, with Black, Powell, Covington and Mitchell getting the ax along with him."

The Rockets do like making trades and would likely be willing to deal off some players for assets. The Rockets lost most of their major trade assets during the offseason as they loaded up to make a run at Carmelo Anthony, who re-signed with the New York Knicks and Chris Bosh, who re-signed with the Miami Heat. It could give them the ammunition to make a run at a player like Boston Celtics’ point guard Rajon Rondo.
