There are a lot of reasons as to why Aaron Brooks decided to sign with the Chicago Bulls this offseason. There’s of course a winning franchise who should be in contention for an NBA title.

More from Chicago Bulls

There’s also the prospect of significant playing time, though it might have been Nate Robinson and Jamal Crawford who had the biggest influence on Brooks’ decision to sign with the Chicago Bulls.

Brooks, Robinson and Crawford are all Seattle natives and are great friends who spend their offseason together in the Northwest. They also spend a good amount of time talking about basketball and when Brooks had an offer on the table from Chicago, he went to Robinson and Crawford for their opinions considering both previously played for the Chicago Bulls.

Jamal Crawford and Nate Robinson raved about their time in the Windy City which was apparently enough to sell Brooks on the Bulls.

As mentioned above, not only do the Bulls have a chance for title this season but they’re routinely viewed as one of the most popular franchises in the NBA alongside the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. It’s likely that Aaron Brooks didn’t need any additional reasons to sign with the Chicago Bulls though Nate Robinson and Jamal Crawford helped drive the nail into the proverbial coffin.
