April 30-May 2 will be the dates for the 2015 NFL Draft; Venue still unknown

The 2015 NFL Draft will not be in New York next year, this much we know already. The league is still deciding between Los Angeles and Chicago as a new destination. But as of Thursday, we now at least know what dates the 2015 NFL Draft will be held on in one of the two cities.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 2015 NFL Draft is now set for April 30-May 2, setting up yet another three-day football extravaganza.

This past year the league moved the NFL Draft to May for the first time ever, and of course, there was an increase in ratings for the much-anticipated event. Now, there were a few people that pointed out the star power that was in this past year’s class, so next year could be a good gauge as to whether or not holding the NFL Draft that late really works.

Now all that’s left is to figure out which city the 2015 NFL Draft will be held in. The league made the decision earlier this year to move it out of New York City and Radio City Music Hall, setting up quite the interesting turn of events.

When the announcement that it would be moved came through, a bidding war for the NFL Draft broke out in a lot of major cities. Jerry Jones, to the surprise of none, stated that he would love to see the NFL Draft held within the confines of AT&T Stadium, which may very well happen some day.

But that some day won’t be next year, as the NFL Draft will from April 30-May  2 in either Chicago or Los Angeles.
