Oklahoma City Thunder star forward Kevin Durant off an incredible season.

Kevin Durant led the league in scoring (again), averaging 32.0 points per game and took home his first NBA MVP Award. The Thunder, however, were taken down by the San Antonio Spurs in six games in the Western Conference Finals. The Thunder missed All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook for 36 games during and were without big man Serge Ibaka for the first two games of their series with the Spurs.

With everyone healthy, the Thunder are looking to gain home court advantage in a potential rematch with the Spurs.

Unfortunately that won’t be happening. Kevin Durant has a Jones fracture in his right foot. It will require surgery and he is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

Kevin Durant issued a statement about his injury via twitter.

It’s good to see Kevin Durant trying to remain in high spirits. If the injury really does only keep him sidelined for six weeks, that would only be about a month of regular season action. Plus, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka should be able to keep them afloat.

Kevin Durant averaged 32.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 50.3% from the floor, 39.1% from beyond the arc and 87.3% from the charity stripe during the regular season. In his career, he’s averaged 27.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 47.9% from the field, 37.7% from three and 88.2% from the field.
