Mark Richt Says Todd Gurley Not Expected To Play Vs. Arkansas
By Josh Hill
Todd Gurley is currently serving out a suspension that could last the remainder of his college career at the University of Georgia and his head coach isn’t going to change that.
Georgia Bulldogs fans are a little steamed over the suspension of the best player in college football, as Todd Gurley’s suspension for writing down his name is as asinine as it gets. Still, head coach mark Richt isn’t going to change the suspension and is instead going to try and clear up confusion over reports that Gurley might play this weekend against Arkansas.

Richt went on his Twitter account this week to dissuade fans from being under the belief that Gurley will be playing against Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. While Richt could have stoked coals to get his best player back, he instead muddled the message by basically saying he’ll get back to you all later.
Not having Gurley again is going to be a risky move for the Bulldogs, but they’re going to do their best to win without him. The bottom line is that Gurley is the best player in college football, his future in the NFL is not at all being harmed by this and the only ones suffering are the teammates of Gurley who are playing without him.
It’s a dumb rule, a stupid suspension and all of this over Gurley writing his name down on a few things and getting paid for it.
