In about a year, Boston Red Sox outfielder Yoenis Cespedes will be making a lot of money as he’s set to become a free agent after the 2015 season and it appears the slugger is already treating himself to some of the finer things in life.
That includes purchasing a $500,000 dollar, 2014 Lamborghini Aventador which can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just under 2.9 seconds and can reach up to 217 mph. Pretty sweet, right? Well that wasn’t enough for Yoenis Cespedes who decided to completely chop up the Lamborghini and pay an additional $100,000 dollars to completely customize the ride from the ground up.
TMZ spoke to the man in charge of the customization and said Cespedes didn’t give much instruction other than to ‘make it swaggy’.
So what kind of swag will he be getting for a cool $100K?
"Here’s what we know … the car is getting the full Avorza customization treatment — with killer interior, rims and a brand new paint job — candy blue.Cespedes tells TMZ Sports he’s pumped — saying, “I just wanted to do something that has never ever been done before, I don’t know what he’s gonna do, but I know Alex always does nice things to cars.”"
I’m taking a stab in the dark there will also be an absurdly amazing entertainment and sound system in the car as well.
Cespedes meanwhile suggests dropping the money wasn’t that big of a deal and simply wanted to do something unique with his ride.
“I just wanted to do something that has never ever been done before, I don’t know what he’s gonna do, but I know Alex always does nice things to cars.”
Better hope you can keep up that power stroke with the Green Monster, Yoenis. You’re going to need some money from the Boston Red Sox (or another suitor) to make that car payment!
