Dwayne Allen came through with a huge play for the Colts, catching a 32-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Luck to extend the lead to 17-0 over the Bengals. He has been a huge target for Luck so far this season, and has lived up to the hype that surrounded him during the offseason. His combination of speed and size is very difficult for defenses to match up against, and he made the Bengals pay this afternoon.
Obviously Allen is much faster that he looks, and he was able to rumble into the end zone from 32 yards out. The Colts’ offense is definitely one of the higher powered unit across the league, and Allen has been a major upgrade over Coby Fleener at tight end from last year. Indianapolis is looking to improve to 5-2 on the season with a win this afternoon, and this game could actually end up having playoff implications later on in the season.
