The SEC has been college football’s best conference. It’s tough to deny. However, it isn’t much more difficult to deny that the coverage is somewhat slanted their way.

Of course, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Football is a bigger deal in the south, the fans are more passionate and several elite programs call the south home.

Now that doesn’t mean other conferences should be treated unfairly yet some believe they do. Nebraska Cornhuskers‘ head coach Bo Pelini believes the SEC is too closely tied with the SEC, saying “I don’t think that kind of relationship is good for college football.

ESPN College GameDay host Chris Fowler doesn’t believe there is a bias toward the SEC and he let that be known via twitter on Wednesday.

Here is how it all went down:

It’s tough to disagree on some points with Chris Fowler here. Teams like the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes do move the needle. The problem with the Big 10 is that it simply hasn’t been good enough and when they have gotten onto a big stage, they have fallen flat on their faces (see the last two National Title appearances by Ohio State)
