The Virginia Tech Hokies will take on the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday night, and yet another Al Golden removal banner is reportedly set to fly over the stadium.

A few weeks ago when the Miami Hurricanes were at home, a plane flew over the stadium that simply read, “Fire Al Golden.” Once again this season, the Hurricanes are nowhere near where folks perceive they should be in the Al Golden era, so the cries for his removal are louder than ever before.

Well, we’re going to see another one of those cries on Thursday night when the Canes go up north to take on Virginia Tech.

It seems as if whoever is doing this is now taking the show on the road, as the game will be played inside Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, not Sunlife Stadium.

Through seven games played this year, the Hurricanes are 4-3 on the season, with a lot of holes to fill on both sides of the ball. Wins wise, Miami has improved every year under Golden, with the team even finishing last season at 9-4. However, their first seven games were wins over mediocre teams and after they hit Florida State, the wheels fell off and they were only able to accrue two more wins.

With the 4-3 start to this year, it’s going to be difficult to match that nine-win total from last year and Golden might be out the door as this team shows no signs of development.
