Lorenzo Cain is showing early that the Kansas City Royals want more offense than they got in Game 1

More from Kansas City Royals

In Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night, offense was not a strong point for the Kansas City Royals. However, early on in Game 2, Lorenzo Cain is showing that he and the team won’t stand for another outing like that.

The Royals fell behind early once again, as for the second night in a row, the Royals gave up a first-inning home run to the Giants. It was just a solo HR, so there wasn’t as much ground to make up as there was in Game 1.

In the bottom of the first inning, when it was the Royals’ turn, that’s when Cain struck.

Watch in the video below as Cain gets the crowd’s spirits in Kansas City back up in a big way, as he rips a two-out double to left center field to get himself right into scoring position.

Not long after that, Billy Butler came to the plate and decided that he would do the honors of bringing him home to tie the game up at one.

That’s the Royals team that we’ve been looking for.
