Find out who is going to win each of the NFL‘s week 8 match ups with the Armchair Quarterback’s Guide to the NFL.

Welcome to the week 8 edition of the Armchair Quarterback’s Guide to the NFL. For any first time readers, this weekly post will give you a preview and prediction for each game on the NFL schedule. Those predictions are based on prior head to head match ups, how the teams match up in terms of strengths and weaknesses, what the numbers say, and a little of my own gut instinct. Hopefully the end result is as good of breakdown as you’ll find online and a little bit entertaining to read as well.

After I embarrassed myself in week 6 I needed to have a solid rebound week in week 7 and thankfully I pulled through with an 11-4 record. The winners that I missed on were the Jaguars, Rams, Dolphins, and Chiefs. That brings my overall record on the season to 69-36-1. While that’s good enough to lead all of the “experts” that pick for ESPN, I still consider myself a failure because I’m trailing CBS’s Pete Prisco. We’ll see if I can’t pass him by after this weekend’s slate of games. I’m also still undefeated in my “Survivor Pool Lock of the Week” picks. Having used most of the perceived “elite” teams in previous weeks already I’m going to have to start really looking at match ups if I want that streak to continue.

This week’s slate of games has a few easy to pick games but also a few coin flip type match ups that could easily go either way. I’ll do my best to give you the most likely winner for all of them.

Let’s get started…….
