Things are tense around the University of Michigan football program these days. Head coach Brady Hoke completely lost control of the situation this season before things could ever get off the ground, and the fan base has been disgruntled to say the least.

As part of their discontent with what is happening, Michigan students complained that their ticket prices should be lowered. That request has apparently been obliged, as prices will be down starting in 2015.

The Michigan Daily reports the following:

"“We listen,” Athletic Director Dave Brandon told The Michigan Daily Thursday afternoon. “We’ve been listening. … We really learned that two really important components to re-engaging with our students in trying to create a more robust, more enthusiastic and larger student section for next year’s football season was price and strength of schedule.“A nearly 40-percent reduction in ticket prices is, I think it’s fair to say, unprecedented.”"

Careful, Mr. Brandon. People have been seriously injured patting themselves on the back that much. But sure, keep congratulating yourself for doing something that was totally fair for your students and loyal fans.

Michigan fans will hope for changes and for a program that is pointed in the right direction next season. When students go to see those games, they will do so for lower ticket prices.
