Chris Johnson is unhappy with his role on the New York Jets and is upset by being one of the worst teams in the NFL.

The New York Jets signed former superstar running back Chris Johnson this past offseason, but he hasn’t had much of a role with the team this season. Johnson is beginning to get frustrated with his decreased role with the Jets, according to a report from the New York Post.

"“Of course I’m frustrated. On top of having a limited role, not playing as much as I want to play and then on top of that we’re 1-7. It’s frustrating. I don’t want to be a distraction in the locker room. This situation, I’m pretty sure just like I see it, everybody else sees it. I don’t want to be labeled as one of those guys who start controversy or start problems. I just continue to pray about the situation and continue to take advantage when I get opportunities and see what comes of it.”"

It’s obvious that the situation has not been what he expected to be, and he’s 100 percent right about the entire statement that he made. Johnson simply hasn’t been able to play well when the Jets have put him on the field, and it isn’t likely that he’ll see his role increase this year.

So far in eight games with the Jets, Johnson has picked up 268 yards and a touchdown on 67 carries. He has also caught 14 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Johnson’s explosiveness simply isn’t what it used to be and it has made it very difficult for him to produce good numbers.

There wouldn’t be any surprise to see the Jets and Johnson part ways this coming offseason. He isn’t happy and the Jets certainly haven’t been happy with the signing either. The Jets are in a bad spot, and the locker room unrest is beginning to start.
