Minnesota Vikings

Oof. The majority of my preseason prognostication about the Vikings centered around Adrian Peterson, and well, he isn’t around right now.

Minnesota’s offense has suffered greatly in his absence, but even amid the breakout from former college QB Jerick McKinnon, the future isn’t as bright as it may seem. The Vikings have been plagued by wretched play from their receivers, especially from trendy sleeper Cordarrelle Patterson, and Teddy Bridgewater has not played particularly well with the exception of his exposure of the Atlanta Falcons horrid defense.

There is a small bright side for the Vikings given that they have allowed less than 20 points in each of their last three games, but the offense hasn’t really been able to take advantage. Still, Minnesota sits at 3-5, and when you evaluate that against the two previous paragraphs, things could be much, much worse.
