Beyonce, Jay Z and Justin Bieber Expected to Attend Cavaliers Opener
By Josh Hill
Cleveland Cavaliers fans are ecstatic that LeBron James has returned, but just as predicted the city has become a haven for the rich and famous ahead of the superstar’s first game back.
LeBron James is back with the Cleveland Cavaliers and for the first time since he tore his jersey off after a 2009-10 playoff loss to the Boston Celtics, he will return to the team he began his career with. Since he left though, LeBron James — and the sport of basketball — has gone through massive change as both are as popular as they’ve ever been.

Proof of this can be seen in the fact that the rich and famous are flocking to the city of Cleveland to be a apart of what is the biggest basketball and pop culture event of the year.
As pointed out by Micheal Lee from the Washington Post, stars with zero affiliation to the city are descending upon Cleveland for LeBron James’ return to the Cavaliers.
This is truly getting ridiculous, but we well knew this was going to happen. When LeBron James was in Miami, we got rather consistent doses of Drake, Rihanna and others at games and the same has always been true for famous faces corutside at Lakers, Clippers, Bulls and Knicks games.
Cleveland isn’t a big market like those other cities though, which is what is making this all feel so surreal.
LeBron James is back in Cleveland but he not only brought his talents with him — he brought attention the city has never seen before.
