After going down to the #25 ranked Louisville Cardinals 14-0, the No. 1 ranked Florida State Seminoles clawed their way back in a very 2014 fashion.

This seemingly inevitable comeback was capped by a beautiful 40-yard rushing touchdown by ‘Noles runningback Dalvin Cook who blew past defenders like an aggressive summer breeze.

As Florida State fans can attest, this team never quits however they also never truly drive the nail in the proverbial coffin of their opponents, either. So while having the lead late in the third quarter does provide some needed solace to a nerve-wrecked fandom, it does little to quell concerns about the impending fourth quarter.

These concerns are only made worse by an early game injury that saw Heisman-winning quarterback Jameis Winston twist his ankle awkardly. Winston is clearly hobbled and playing through some pain and only time will tell how that effects his play going down the stretch of this game. One thing is for certain, neither team is laying down.

And isn’t this what NCAA Football should be about? A lower ranked team giving the champ a run for their money? I believe this is the true beauty of the sport. Blowouts look great for the winner, however, people also hated watching Mike Tyson win in 12 seconds. So as this game enters the fourth quarter, hold on to your hats and tie down the children. Things are about to get brutal.

Rumble young men rumble.
