Another day, another arrest for former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight along with friend and comedian Katt Williams.
Knight, who has become rather close with Williams over the past few years were arrested on suspicion of robbery charges due to allegedly stealing a camera from a female photographer.
It was said the woman was waiting outside of a music studio in Beverly Hills back in September when Knight and Williams decided to take the camera in effort not to be photographed.
"Rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight and comedian Micah “Katt” Williams were arrested today on suspicion of stealing a camera from a female photographer, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced. Knight (dob 4/19/65) and Williams (dob 9/02/71) are charged in case SA089020 with one count each of robbery. Prosecutors will ask bail be set at $1 million for Knight and $75,000 for Williams."
While being arrested is never good news its even worse news for both Suge Knight and Katt Williams given their prior arrests and the three-strikes laws in California.
If convicted, Knight faces up to 30 years in prison while Williams faces up to 7 years.
Suge Knight of course rose to fame as the head of Death Row Records which signed iconic rap artists like Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and 2Pac. Katt Williams meanwhile is one of the most popular comedians in the industry and has performed multiple stand-up specials for television in addition to selling out shows across the country. Williams has also been known to dabble in the music industry and lend his voice to popular rap records.
