Headlining the Week 9 NFL slate is the Thursday Night Football matchup. Here is how EA Sports latest football game, Madden 15, sees things playing out.

Kicking off the action in Week 9 of the NFL schedule is once again Thursday Night Football. After a big win at home, the New Orleans Saints travel on the road to face off against the Carolina Panthers. Madden 15, EA Sports newest football title, is here to help determine a winner.

The Panthers are coming off a late loss against the Seattle Seahawks. In what was largely a field goal kicking contest, the Panthers gave up a late touchdown and fell to the reigning Super Bowl champs. New Orleans welcomed the Green Bay Packers to the Superdome and put on an offensive display en route to a big win.

Here is how Madden 15 sees the Thursday Night Matchup in Week 9 shaping up:

New Orleans Saints (27) Carolina Panthers (24)

Drew Brees 308 yards 3 touchdowns
Cam Newton 223 yards 2 touchdowns
Kelvin Benjamin 5 receptions 76 yards
Jimmy Graham 5 receptions 87 yards 1 touchdown

With the current spread sitting at -3 for the Saints, this looks like Madden 15 sees the outcome just like Vegas. A closer game than many would expect, the Saints typically are a different team on the road, and the Panthers are somewhat of an up and down team.

Madden 15 sees a strong performance from Drew Brees, something the Saints have been missing much of the year. Any time a quarterback throws for over 300 yards with multiple touchdowns and no interception, you have to feel good about it.

Look for Kelvin Benjamin to again be the focal point of the Panthers offense and aerial attack. Cam Newton will look to beat the Saints both with his legs and his arm.

I see Madden 15 coming out looking pretty good in this matchup. I don’t think there’s any doubt this is a game the Saints should win, but with the road struggles, it will likely be closer than it should be.
