It was announced via the team’s website that their players will wear ‘Batman jerseys’ on November 22nd in front of a home crowd. The fans will have plenty of reason to cheer and boo as the visiting IceMen will don Riddler jerseys. Right after the game ends, both teams will auction off the jerseys, with proceeds going to various charities, including those to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes and the Walleye Wishing Well.
The Walleye organization is calling this game a “Heroes Night” in order to raise money for charity. The team will also be selling a limited number of replicas of these special jerseys in advance of the game on Monday, November 3rd.
Big kudos to both teams and the ECHL for facilitating something that should be fun for fans and beneficial to the organizations receiving donations as a result of this game.
