After three straight wins the Miami Dolphins don’t want anybody to know they’re playing well.

After losing two of their first three games, the Miami Dolphins knew they needed to kick things in gear if they wanted a chance to participate in the 2014 postseason. It’s not very often a team who losses three of four to start the year makes the playoffs and that’s a fate the Dolphins avoided with a Week 4 victory.

Now winners of three straight and four of five, the Miami Dolphins are one of the hottest teams in the NFL and hope nobody notices their improved play.

“Hopefully nobody catches on,” wide receiver Mike Wallace said. “Hopefully they just keep thinking it’s the same Dolphins from four or five years ago.”

While the entire team deserves credit for playing better much of the improvement can be attributed to quarterback Ryan Tannehill who has turned his season around. The signal caller struggled through the first two games of the season but started working with Miami Dolphins legendary quarterback Dan Marino in the time since. The mentorship has paid off as Tannehill has multiple games with a passer rating over 100 since he and Marino began working together.

Granted the victories haven’t exactly been against the NFL’s elite though the drubbing of the San Diego Chargers on Sunday afternoon certainly has eyes on South Beach currently.

Life gets a little more difficult for the Miami Dolphins coming up though as they face multiple teams with winning records so it’s safe to assume the next few weeks will play a major role in the rest of the Phins season.

If the Miami Dolphins are to make the playoffs this season, it’ll be the first time they’ve claimed a playoff birth in six years. They currently sit tied for second in the AFC East with the Buffalo Bills at 5-3.
