Jerry Seinfeld was psyched at the praise he received from former New York Mets‘ catcher Mike Piazza this week for a ceremonial first pitch that he threw in 2005.

Any baseball fan can appreciate what an awesome feeling it would be to have an actual big league player praising your skills. We all hang on to that dream of being a baseball player longer than we should, after all, and cannot help but calling on it for a moment when we get to play, even if it is just a game of catch in the backyard.

That goes for the most famous and well-accomplished baseball fans among us. Take all-time great comedian Jerry Seinfeld as one example. He received praise from former New York Mets’ catcher Mike Piazza this week. Piazza said Seinfeld was the best celebrity pitcher he remembers seeing, even commenting that Seinfeld “had a cannon.”

Seinfeld got word of Piazza’s comments, and he expressed his excitement in the form of this tweet, complete with a picture of the baseball from the first pitch.

Here is the video of Piazza praising Seinfeld’s arm, thereby making one comedian’s day and breaking the hearts of every other celebrity who tried to impress him with their ceremonial first pitches (from TMZ Sports):
