For some reason, we will all be subjected to Mike Golic recreating the Kim Kardashian ‘bare-it-all’ magazine cover because the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lost to the Northwestern Wildcats in college football action this weekend.

Generally speaking, the idea of a wager is that the losing party does something that benefits the winning party. In cases where one person agrees to do something if they lose, it is because their end of the bet is something that many people want to see happen.

I ask you, then, why we have to see Mike Golic’s bare rear end when he is the one to “lose” the bet he made about this weekend’s Notre Dame football game? Why, why, why would we be the ones to suffer because his team lost to a sub-.500 Northwestern team?

For some reason, those were the terms as Golic delivered a piping hot take this past Friday on his radio show. He was so sure that Notre Dame would win that he said he would recreate the Kim Kardashian cover from Paper magazine this week if they lost.

Seriously, why?

Christine Golic clearly understands the problem.

What indeed, Christine. What indeed.

Golic lost the bet, but in the end, we all lose.
