These 10 NFL teams need help at running back, and luckily, LeGarrette Blount just became available.

The Pittsburgh Steelers cut running back LeGarrette Blount after he walked off the field prior to the end of Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans. In the game, Blount barely got on the field and didn’t record a rushing attempt for the first time all season.

Cutting Blount shouldn’t come as a surprise after all his past antics, which include punching an opposing player in the face:

And getting arrested for marijuana possession before the season. Blount’s walk-out on Monday was the final straw for the Steelers.

While Blount’s attitude has been in question for years and the latest incident doesn’t bode well for his future, there are plenty of teams, ten actually, who could definitely use Blount’s services for the rest of the season.

Although Blount has bounced around and will be on his fourth team in five years, he’s a solid, proven NFL running back. He’s a big, physical runner, who has the speed to break a big play here and there. For a team looking to sure up their backfield, Blount is the guy.

Plus, Blount is a capable kick returner, and he’s a much better option than any other running backs on the market. Ben Tate was also cut by the Cleveland Browns, but it’s a night and day difference between Tate and Blount. Blount’s obviously the best player available to help a team make the playoffs.

So, who are those ten teams, ranked in order of importance?

Let’s get started with one of Blount’s former teams, the New England Patriots.
