As we head into the final weeks of the college football regular season, time is running out for teams to make their move into the top four of the college football playoff rankings, but these four teams are projected in after the Week 13 games

Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Mississippi State were the teams in the top four entering the week and with all four teams winning this week the top four is projected to remain exactly the same for the second week in a row.

The Crimson Tide won 48-14 over Western Carolina, Oregon won 44-10 over Colorado, Florida State beat Boston College, 20-17 on a field goal with three seconds remaining and Mississippi State beat Vanderbilt by the score of 51-0.

TCU and Ohio State are once again projected to be the first two out with Baylor and UCLA rounding out the top eight. There is still time for those outside the top four to get in, but they’ll need “style points” in addition to running the table and having one or two of the teams ahead of them fall in the next two weeks.

This week of college football could be viewed as the calm before the storm that hits next weekend when rivalry week is upon us and the conference championship participants are locked down in the Pac-12, SEC and Big Ten. We already know the ACC Championship Game will feature Florida State against Georgia Tech and the Big 12 won’t be decided until Baylor and Kansas State play on Dec. 6.
