Gregory Campbell of the Boston Bruins and Dale Weise of the Montreal Canadiens have a history, but no one knew it included ice dancing.

It was just more than a week ago when Dale Weise of the Montreal Canadiens completed a good old-fashioned Gordie Howe hat trick—a goal, an assist and a fight in one game—by mixing it up with Gregory Campbell of the Boston Bruins.

The history between Weise and the Bruins goes back further than that, however.

When the Canadiens upset the Bruins in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals last spring, Boston’s Milan Lucic reportedly told Weise he would, “I’m going to (word that rhymes with “trucking”) kill you next year.”

So, yeah.

The teams met again at TD Garden in Boston Saturday night and there were Campbell and Weise, once again being bad neighbors. But apparently, the fight needed a prelude, so they decided to do a little dance number:

Seven circles, by my count, which begs the question—how can you fight when you’re dizzy?

Or do hockey players learn—much like ballet dancers—how to spot when they spin around before starting to throw fists in another guy’s face?

That seems like a strange mixture of disciplines.
