The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are on the road Saturday taking on the Michigan State Spartans as they are wrapping up their first season of Big Ten play, and so far in this one, things are not going their way, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
Basically, they just can’t stop the Spartans offense.
To start things off in this Big Ten contest, Connor Cook found the dynamic Tony Lippett for the 30-yard touchdown strike, jumping out to an early lead.
Then, Rutgers showed that they can’t really stop Michigan State on the ground either, as Jeremy Langford busted out this 18-yard touchdown not long after.
Yeah, this is not a good sign for Rutgers, who has struggled on the defensive side of the ball all season. If they don’t figure something out soon, this one could get ugly as Michigan State salvages their season after the Ohio State loss.
