LeBron James Calls Cavaliers Fragile
By Hayden Kane
LeBron James had some harsh words for himself and the Cleveland Cavaliers after another tough loss to the Toronto Raptors in the early weeks of the NBA schedule.
Stop me if you have heard this before during the young season, but on Saturday night the Cavaliers lost and they looked bad doing it. Granted, this loss came at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, the best team in the Eastern Conference thus far. Still, for all of the hype around the Cavaliers and their new “big three” this season, the results so far have been a resounding disappointment.

LeBron James knows that as well as anybody, and he had some harsh words for himself and his teammates after their loss on Saturday night. From ESPN.com:
"“We’re a very fragile team right now…Well, we were a fragile team from the beginning. Any little adversity hits us, we just shell up. That’s something that will come with experience.”"
As beaten down as James sounds with those initial comments, he claims to still be optimistic:
"“This is not even the lowest it’s going to get for us. You guys know, the lowest it can get is up 17 in the fourth quarter of Game 2 of the Finals and losing. It can get that low. Or being up 2-1 and going to Game 4 and lose three straight in the Finals. That’s very low. So, I’m very optimistic. I’m very positive. More positive than I thought I would be right now, so, we look at what we did wrong, things that we did well and get ready for Orlando coming in on Monday.”"
Confusing, is the word to describe those comments. James paints a vivid picture of how much more terrible things can get, and then says he’s optimistic. I’m not sure what we are supposed to do with that.
Nobody expected the transition to be easy, but it looks like it’s already getting to LeBron James.
