Josh Huff’s franchise-record 107-yard kickoff return to open the game set the tone for the Philadelphia Eagles’ 40-24 of the Tennessee Titans as kept their share of the NFC East lead

54. Final. 24. 10. 43

Josh Huff needed just 13 seconds to make the Philadelphia Eagles forget about last week’s disaster at Green Bay, as his team-record 107-yard return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff was the fuse they needed in order to outslug the Tennessee Titans 43-24, keeping them with at least a share of the NFC East lead.

The Eagles (8-3) also found LeSean McCoy from the milk carton he was on for much of the season, as he recorded a season-high 130 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Philly’s offense was more than able to withstand two Mark Sanchez interceptions by rolling up 464 total yards in what was their tune-up heading into the Thanksgiving Day showdown at the Dallas Cowboys for what could be sole possession for the division lead.

Tennessee (2-9) trailed 17-0 after the first quarter, yet were able to close within 20-14 on Shonn Greene’s 2-yard touchdown run with 8:22 left in the first half.

Sanchez threw for 307 yards and a 14-yard touchdown pass to James Casey early in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 34-17 edge. Philadelphia continued to move the ball, but ended up settling for three of Cody Parkey’s five field goals in the fourth quarter. Titans rookie Zach Mettenberger threw for 345 yards and two scores, but was sacked five times and threw an interception.
