Bethune-Cookman won the Florida Classic against Florida A&M on Saturday, but the FAMU band sure did win halftime as they rolled out their “Kermit Drinking Tea” formation to honor the popular meme that has been taking over Twitter and social media in recent months.
Check out the video of the Kermit formation below. The Kermit action begins around the 2:40 mark.
If you’ve spend more than five minutes on social media you have undoubtedly seen this meme in a number of different variations as different users add their own text to create the meme and this is a pretty cool formation from the FAMU band who has been in the headlines for some good and for some very awful reasons in year’s past.
Despite the outcome not going in favor of the Rattlers, at least they created this lasting image to give the fans at the game a show they’ll not soon forget and for the Internet to introduce this popular meme to a whole new audience.
