The game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills that was moved to Detroit and played Monday night had a brief delay after two people got onto the field.

This is why you can’t do nice things for people.

After giving away tickets to Monday night’s relocated game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills, two of the fans in attendance decided to celebrate their freebies by getting down on the field and running around.

The fans were fairly quickly taken down by Ford Field security personnel and the Bills demolition of the Jets was allowed to continue.

The game was moved to Detroit after last week’s heavy snows in western New York paralyzed the Buffalo area, with a no-drive order making it impossible for players and coaches to even get to practice.

When the Bills did depart for Detroit, they were picked up by snowmobile for part of the trek to the airport.

At least it wasn’t dog sleds, so there was that.

As for the two bozos on the field, they got tackled hard on field turf (one of them was in shorts and had his shirt pulled up, so that could have stung a little if there was any sliding involved), will be arrested and will likely have to pay some sort of a fine.

As Jayne Cobb said in Serenity, “When’s that get fun?”
