ESPN Senior baseball writer Keith Law was recently suspended from Twitter after an argument with Curt Schilling but amongst his return was a cryptic tweet, or rather quote, from Galileo.

Keith Law was suspended recently for a Twitter argument over the theory of evolution with former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling. Well, ESPN didn’t like that to much (big surprise there, they don’t want their people having opinions now) seeing as speaking about evolution is still a topic people argue about today, so they suspended him.

Well, upon reinstatement he did what some others have done and sent out a tweet that doesn’t quite mean much in the English language, unless of course you translate it.

The quote is Galileo’s and it translates to “and yet it moves.” Galileo said it after he was forced to take back what he said about the Earth moving around the sun.

So it probably doesn’t really mean much other than him saying I’m back and let’s get back to work. This might be the best return ever because instead of coming back with angry tweets or betting his employer wouldn’t punish him – looking at you Bill Simmons – but he used something that you actually had to look up to find out what it meant.
