The sitcom Home Improvement snuck in a clever dig at Florida State University that appears prophetic in hindsight.
Home Improvement is one of the most memorable sitcoms from the 1990’s, and as Nick at Nite has shown, it’s held up remarkably well since the show ended more than a decade ago. Add the video seen below to the trove of prophetic brilliance that was this classic.

In the words of Tim Taylor, Ayuh? Given the controversy that has surrounded Florida State’s football team for a while now, it’s kind of hilarious to see that some things never change. Even in the 90’s, Florida-based college sports were a punch line.
Now, before you gather those fireballs and start sending them our way, let’s just note that we realize there are plenty of wonderful, smart young minds attending Florida State University. But for most of us, the football team is how we know FSU and the football team is a hot, steaming mess of controversy, along with plenty of other major universities.
It’s the holidays, people. Let’s just enjoy some old-school Tim Allen-induced laughs and move along.
Florida Gators fans can post this video in advance of their big rivalry game against FSU on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. Seminoles fans will likely have the last laugh after as they are currently 7 1/2 point favorites.
