Leonard Fournette came into LSU this season as the most hyped running back since Adrian Peterson, although Les Miles and company eased him into action. Throughout the past few weeks we’ve seen him become more and more a part of the offense, and on Thursday night, he may have evolved into the back that we all thought he’d be.
LSU is taking on the Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday night and they fell behind early, 7-0. Needing a spark, it was time to call on the bull; and boy did he ever act like one.
Watch in the video below as Fournette just absolutely annihilates an A&M defender that was in his way, then just proceeds to trot his way into the end zone for the score to tie things up.
There was literally nothing that Texas A&M defender could do there, and while it was a valiant effort to make the tackle, he may have just been best served to step to the side and save his body. He wasn’t injured on the play, but he’s going to be mighty sore tomorrow.
This is the part where we need to remind everyone that Fournette is only a freshman, meaning that the chances are that he’s only going to get better; and even scarier, stronger.
